Born in Swansea, West Glamorgan, Wales, UK on September 25, 1969 Catherine Zeta Jones showed an interest early on in entertainment. First she starred on stage in "Annie", "Bugsy Malone" and "The Pajama Game". When she was 15, she had the lead in the British revival of "42nd Street". Subsequently she played supporting roles in several films including Kolumbusz, a felfedező (1992), the miniseries Nagy Katalin (1996) and a larger part as the seductive Sala in A fantom (1996). In 1998 she appeared opposite Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro.Next year she starred in crime thriller Entrapment (1999). She establish herself in Hollywood with her roles in Steven Soderbergh's Traffic (2000) and a murderess in the musical Chicago (2002). She also found success in the romantic comedy Intolerable Cruelty (2003), Next movies with Catherine Zeta Jones - comedy Intolerable Cruelty (2003), the crime film Ocean's Twelve (2004), and the comedy-drama The Terminal (2004) were also successful for her.
In recent years Zeta-Jones returned to film with supporting parts in the musical comedy Rock of Ages (2012), the psychological thriller Side Effects (2013), and the action film RED 2 (2013).
